I want to applaud the Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder's office for making getting a marraige license so easy. My fiance and I couldn't get an appointment in Denver, so we checked out Jeff Co. There were tons of appointments available. The county government building was beautiful and had ample parking. We were in and out within 20 minutes, license in hand. This is how government is supposed to work!

I have to admit I was skeptical of an online DMV service. But it is my preferred way of doing business now. So much more convenient. I have had to go to the DMV to have my license renewed and I found them to be more courteous. Probably because the workload has been partially shifted online.

The worst service. Woman sounded like she was dreading to have to answer the phone. Sounded like an upset Crabby Patty customer from SpongeBob. She zero idea on researching information.

Actually the chat feature was very easy. Yeh, it was a wait and the wait originally was for 15-20 minutes but it was more like 10-15 minutes. I just did some work while waiting. I was able to take care of registering plates and answering questions over the chat and payment taken over the phone (if paying with a credit card, yes there is a small fee to cover their cc processing fees) and they call you for that, so that is a plus. Agent was very friendly and quick to answer questions. If you are able to take care of it during the day when they are there, take advantage of the chat if you can. Of course don't wait until the last minute to get or renew your plates

My temporary auto license expired today so I went to get my license plate in Jefferson County at the Ken Caryl office. When I walked in, the lady at the information desk said normally you had to schedule ahead, but she got me in promptly. The person who helped me, after a short wait, (#7), asked about my previous trade in, trying to save me some money. She was friendly and helpful, and I walked out with my license plates.

Terrible experience getting new plates from out of state. Waited about 30 minutes for my appointment and was told I didn’t even bring everything I needed! The website was so confusing and terribly designed I couldn’t even tell what I needed though. Additionally, the confirmation email did not clear anything up. I probably should’ve used the chat function beforehand since a lot of reviews mention that being helpful… All in all, don’t try to figure it out from the website-you’ll waste a lot of time!

I want to say that my Chat experience was awesome and really convenient. I got to chat with Karen S. and she was very knowledgeable and quick to respond. She answered some very specific questions that pertain to my VA situation regarding a new vehicle registration. It was great to get the answers I needed so I can come prepared.

I moved here recently. I don't know why but I simply could not figure out how to register my out of state vehicle from the CO website. I got the VIN verification...now what? Chat feature to the rescue. Thank you Lia for saving me a lot of time. I thought I had to get a whole new CO title and didn't even know where to begin. Turns out that is not necessary. Anyway great service - it takes a while to get a response, but once they respond, you can have a real-time conversation.
